Islamaphobia...just another part of it. I have learned so much in the past year or so since I converted. It's been truly extraordinary. It's very sad the misinformation and conceptions (or misconceptions) people have about the religion/faith. People are people everywhere...every one is different and have different beliefs, backgrounds, knowledge, experiences, everything. Every living thing on the earth is probably unique.

I have shingles and have been dealing with that for a few days now, the worst is over...but yeah. It's interesting the trust people have in science and medicine in some cases but not others. With the covid vaccine, it's fine, I can understand - no trust in government, or very little - I don't like a lot of what the government does either! It's sad though. PBS News last night had a segment with a virology Dr. that was good, detailing how the Gov. and Pharmacy companies want to get out a vaccine for kids aged 5-12 but more caution is being taken, how people in the South, especially kids, have such a low vaccination rate and how bad covid is getting... I've really disliked Fauci and the National Governmental messaging, as with the above Hill video, I agree on so many points...they know and knew better. The messaging 15-16 months ago especially was so bad, like there was any chance of containing this virus...NO. STOP LYING! Like they didn't know better to predict it was going to get worse after loosening restrictions and not even that, but just after people getting more used to the reality and becoming more lax and use to the new situation. NO. QUIT LYING. Is very predictable. Just my take...

...did a good amount of research on how to best deal with shingles and it seems like the national guidelines seemed like the best. I initially got a steroid shot and prescribed some prescription medication, took only a few pain relievers the past couple of days and been applying calamine lotion a bit. Cold showers or a cold damp towel help with inflammation of course and relief. Healthy diet, try to de-stress and take it easy. Lots of backpain I personally have that's as bad as the shingles or worse actually.
